What sort of catering do you offer?

In-house catering options are available and very flexible; we work closely with exclusive chefs to create food service unique to your occasion.  

Can I bring my own food?

We do allow outside vendors, should you choose to bring your own caterer there is a flat fee of $350 which does not includes the use of our on site commercial kitchen during the event rental. If your caterer requires kitchen use, they will need to submit proof of insurance and there is an hourly rate of $35.

Do you charge a cake cutting fee and is there a fee to bring my own dessert?

We do not charge a cake cutting fee. For dessert we prefer to work with Lux Sucre but you may bring dessert of your choice at no additional fee. 

Can I bring my own drinks?

Opal 28 has a full bar on-site and beverage charges are based on consumption. We can customize the bar offerings to fit your budget.  We work with many local distributors and can bring in specialty wines, beers and spirits. 

If you choose to bring your own beverages (beer and wine only) there is a $375 corkage fee and the bartender fee of $50/hour (3 hour minimum) which we supply.  

Do you serve hard alcohol?

Yes, Opal 28 has a full on premise liquor license and we can serve any of your preferred beverages.

Can we have a cash (or credit card) bar because I only want to host beer and wine?

Yes, we will work with you to create a specific bar menu that suits your preferences and budget.
